Vision

Romania's development depends on the quality and pace of construction in our country. And the success of the construction market depends on the essential stage of its design.

We, the Romanian Construction Designers' Employers' Association, have assumed the role of representing our guild, to ensure that together we make our voice heard, to be respected by institutional, public and private partners, making the most of our experience. In this way, Romania's chance of economic growth, which is closely linked to developments in the construction sector, will be able to match our vision.

The vision of the Romanian Construction Designers' Employers' Association is a complex mix of innovation, sustainability and adaptability, which underlines the essential role of designers in shaping the future of construction in Romania.

This vision focuses on several key issues: technological innovation, sustainability, adaptation to climate change, efficiency energy, respect for cultural heritage and integration into the European context.

Innovation and Technological Integration

Technological innovation is essential in the view of the designers' employers. In the context of an ever-evolving industry, the adoption of new technologies such as BIM (Building Information Modeling), augmented reality and artificial intelligence is crucial. These technologies enable better planning and simulation of construction, thereby reducing risks, optimising the use of resources and improving the final quality of projects.

Sustainability and Green Building

Sustainability is another central pillar. The Employer encourages the adoption of environmentally friendly practices and the use of sustainable materials. Emphasis is placed on designing buildings that are energy efficient and minimise environmental impact. This includes the integration of renewable energy sources and water management systems as well as the design of urban green spaces.

Adapting to Climate Change

Adaptation to climate change is a major concern. Designers are encouraged to create buildings and infrastructure that are resilient to extreme weather events and to integrate solutions for the efficient management of water and energy resources. This requires an innovative and flexible approach to design that ensures the long-term sustainability of buildings.

Energy Efficiency and Carbon Footprint Reduction

Energy efficiency is key to reducing the carbon footprint of buildings. By designing buildings that consume less energy and using materials with a low carbon footprint, designers are helping to combat global warming. This includes promoting green renovations for existing buildings.

Respecting and Valuing Cultural Heritage

The Association stresses the importance of preserving and integrating architectural heritage in new projects. Designers are urged to find ways to combine the modern with the traditional, while preserving the cultural and historical identity of places.

Social Responsibility and Community Impact

Romania, as a member of the European Union, must align itself with European standards and directives in the field of construction. The Association promote the adoption of these standards, including in the areas of energy efficiency and sustainability, to ensure increased competitiveness of the sector in the European single market.

Future Prospects

Looking ahead, the role of technology in design is expected to increase, with a greater focus on sustainability and adaptability issues, and an ever closer integration into the European and global context. Designers will need to respond to emerging challenges such as accelerating urbanisation, demographic change and the need for sustainable urban mobility.
